I was talking with Mike Trausch yesterday (among other things he’s the developer of AllTray) and during the conversation we started talking about tech movies. I mentioned the excellent Pirates of Sillicon Valley and Mike in turn said his personal favorite was Antitrust. I hadn’t seen Antitrust before and after watching it I have to say that with the galore of open source references Antitrust is now also my new personal favorite. The title of this post is a quote by one of the main characters with regards to the concept of open source.
As I don’t want to spoil the movie I won’t go into it too much but I will state that the movie is full of gems fellow geeks and open source hackers will appreciate. For fun look up the code examples using Google Code Search. However, you’ll still want to suspend your technological disbelief for the duration of the movie, instead go with the flow and enjoy.
